Why we built this

Content creators spend hours editing videos, only to see them underperform because the song they chose had already peaked three weeks earlier. Finding a trending song before it goes mainstream used to mean hours of manual scrolling across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. We built TrendTune to eliminate that grind entirely.

TrendTune's pipeline runs every day — scanning thousands of YouTube Shorts, identifying every song used, and calculating a Hot Score for each one based on how fast it's growing, how many different creators are using it, and how recently it started trending. The result is a live leaderboard of songs that are on their way up — not ones that have already had their moment.

What makes TrendTune different

Most trending music tools just show you what's popular right now. Popular usually means the peak has already passed. TrendTune's Hot Score is built around velocity and diversity — songs that are growing fast across many different creators score higher than a single viral video with millions of views. We surface early signals, not late ones.

We also show copyright status upfront, so you know before you edit whether a song could get your video demonetised or blocked in certain regions. It's the one piece of information every creator needs and almost no trend tool provides.
